    Yoav Alony Gilboa

Yoav graduated in 1996 from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. He spent the first 7 years working in a 38 vet farm practice in Israel, where for a large proportion of the time he was working with small ruminants, mostly dairy sheep and goats.
In 2003 he moved with his young family to the UK where for 5 years he worked as a Senior Farm Animal Clinician at the Royal Veterinary College, London. In 2008 he joined ‘Friars Moor Farm Vets’ team in Dorset where, as a farm director he enjoys all aspects of progressive farm work but admits having a strange fascination with milking sheep and goats.

Yoav holds a RCVS certificate in Sheep Health and Production and is a recognised Israeli Specialist in Small Ruminants Health & Production. He is past president of the British Sheep Veterinary Society.

In his spare time he practices Tai Chi and loves spending time with his wife and two teenage children, their two cats ‘Layla’ and ‘Messy’ and their accident prone Springer Spaniel,‘Chilli’.
